On September 19, 2024 it’s another Key To Me Comics get together!

This week, I’m making the 4-ish hour drive from Pittsburgh to Baltimore to hang with Geoff and hit up the Baltimore Comic Con! This thing is huge, and I’m already kicking myself for only going for one day. Thankfully Geoff will be there all three days, so hopefully he can grab some stuff for me since I am sure I will run out of time.
While I’m there, we’re going to hit up a few local comic shops too – because, honestly, what’s a trip without a little treasure hunt in out of state dollar bins?
Oh, and the nostalgia train is rolling into the station with a Kevin Smith movie! Geoff and I are keeping our tradition of reliving the 90s alive by checking out his newest flick, The 4:30 Movie. This is almost too perfect timing. Geoff and I are very long standing Kevin Smith fans and have seen a bunch of his movie together spanning 30 years.
OK, now for my cool idea…
The Baltimore Comic Con is packed with artists, and one I’m super stoked about is Stephen Platt. If you’ve been reading along, you know I wrote about him back in Issue 4—he’s easily my favorite artist from the 90s. So here’s the plan: I’m bringing my Moon Knight #55 to get signed… again. Yes, I know, I already got his signature 30 years ago, but how cool would it be to do it again? That’s some full-circle shit right there!
Aside from the signing, I’ve got my trusty hunt list ready to go (as seen above). We’re also going to watch a panel about comic book retailers and just enjoy the event.
And of course, a nightcap at the casino—a true lunatic move.
When I get back, expect a full Giant-Sized Issue from both Geoff and me recapping the whole shebang!
